Meet Andrea...

HERE GOES...

Well, I'm a late entry to this team, and I am honored to be able to go back to Haiti. I am a wife and mom of 3. I work part-time at our wonderful church Crosspointe.

In August of last year, my husband Gerald, oldest daughter Olivia, and I, along with our lifegroup went to spend some time in Haiti, to help Danny and Leanne Pye work on the newly acquired land. I knew I would like it...but I didn't realize that I would LOVE IT! The kids at the Haitian Children's Home, stole my heart. God opened a new place in my heart for the Haitian people, and I knew I would go back some day.

I am looking forward to serving along side some pretty cool people, and seeing what God will do in and through us all.

Meet Emily

Hello, my name is Emily Formicola, and I have been attending Crosspointe Church on and off since 2002, and steadily for the past 2 years. I am very excited to embark on this new, exciting journey in my life. I have never been a part of a mission trip before. I have visited many places, including places in the Carribean, however, never to a country quite like Haiti before. I am nervous, yet excited all at the same time. I don't know what God is going to lead me to do once I get there, yet I am completely open to whatever direction I need to be taken.

I currently teach preschool 5 days a week, and enjoy the challenge of teaching, but also consider myself a life long learner as well. I graduated from college at NCSU with a B.S. degree in Education in 2007. I enjoy traveling, the arts, and generally making the most out of every day!

Meet Ashley

Hi!! My name is Ashley Hoffman and I am very excited to be heading to Haiti in May! I'm in my second year of grad school at NC State, where I am majoring in Industrial/Organizational psychology (just Google it if you're interested...). I work for The Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, where I do research to see if video games can help fifth grade students learn science content. I'm also busy working on my Master's thesis studying personality and job performance. I am eagerly anticipating our trip to Haiti to see how God will use our hands and feet to further His mission. I can't wait to be a part of the plan God has for myself, for our team, for the Haitian Children's Home and the people we will meet on our trip.
